Three Surprises

This is my little Christmas wall hanging I am trying to get finished. I am going to try to quilt it free motion on my loaner featherweight. If I can't do it, I will hand quilt it.

Here is some fabric Debbie at the shop bought and gave me. Debbie, Linda H., Peggy and Patty hardly ever pass up anything pink with the cancer ribbon on it. They are my support team. Love you guys.

This is a rug Sandy got finished and brought in today to have it surged so she can get it bound. It is a Christmas gift for her son. Great job.

This is what my husband did this morning when he left for the grocery store. He put the kleenex box that is usually on the table beside his chair on the back of his chair and than a little foot stool in his chair so Bubba couldn't get to the kleenex. I hadn't seen this until Bubba started barking his head off about half way across the room from the chair. Never did figure out if he was mad or scared by what he saw. So funny. Darn theres some more of those wires. That is so hubby can get a signal on his cell phone in the house. He has a antenna running out the window.

I love surprises like I received this morning. I had just gotten to work, when I looked around and there was Robin, Vince, and Valerie coming through the door at Saltbox Primitive Woolens. What a fun surprise. They looked at all the new fabric, wool, and decor items in the store and visited a bit. They were on their way home from Robins fathers who lives about 30 miles on past Warsaw. They left to get on home so they could watch MU play KU. Of course I am rooting for KU since that is where Vince graduated from. In fact right now KU is ahead 21-10 Go Jayhawks.

So surprise number 2 was my husband had picked up some hamburgers for lunch when I got home from work and we were sitting at the kitchen table eating and Bubba was being so good. I looked out the sliding glass door onto the deck and there sat a little chipmunk. I just happen to think chipmunks are one of God's cutest creations. What was so surprising was we have a screened in deck. So before my husband got any idea's about how to eliminate this little cutie, I went out on the deck and opened the door to the yard to let him hopefully fine his way out.

Surprise number three, when we finished with the chipmunk and came in Bubba was sitting in my chair at the table eating the rest of my hamburger. Had to laugh. This dog is only 5 months old and the dog whispers says 8 months to 2 years is when most dogs are given up for adoption. Those are the teen age years in a dog when they act like typical teenagers, rebellious and challenging. So I wonder what we have to look forward to .

We'll talk soon again I hope.

Left overs quilting and dog.

Christmas quilt for a Nascar fan. Finally have all the quilt tops done. Now to get them to the quilter and I will be ready for Christmas.

Bubba always beats me to my chair and slides it across the room.
Boy I need to do something with all those computer wires.
Isn't it funny what pictures show that we look at everyday and do nothing about.

Left overs I wish. We had steak and potato's for Thanksgiving. Came home with no left overs. Well, except some whipping creme but no pie. So of course I had to bake a pie today. I really miss the turkey, dressing, noodles, cranberries, snow salad, potato's and gravy. Oh well, maybe for Christmas.

I also put some Christmas light on the front porch railing and a wreath on the front of the house today.

We put a zip line between two trees so our dog could get some exercise. Sure be happy when he learns how long his lead is. He has been yanked off his feet a couple time, but I have a harness on him and not a collar, so I think he will survive the learning curve. Today was so beautiful he so enjoyed the sunshine and the leaves and sticks.

I worked hard on changing the background on this blog and never could get it lined up so you can read the merry Christmas.

Well, tomorrow is a work day at Saltbox Primitive Woolens, I understand we have new wool in, so that will be fun and keep me busy.

Sunday evening

This finished wool hooked rug I know you have seen before, done by Patty, but this one was done by a new hooker, and than so drew up the one with Wiseman on it. I love when a new hooker comes along and is not afraid to jump right in and draw something on their own. She's doing a great job and is a joy to be around.

The black and white is the beginning of a quilt obviously for a Nascar fan.
The blue eyed dog is pulling another one of his stunts, he is really brown eyed. He and I have a love hate relationship. It is getting to be more love as he ages and realizes who is boss. At least I think I am.
The last rug is what I am starting on for the shop.
I hope everyone has a joyful Thanksgiving. Ours will be non traditional. Steak and baked potato's. But we will have pumpkin pie and whipped creme for dessert.
Happiness to all.

Rain Rain Rain

This crow is a punch needle. I really like it , but have yet to try it.
The Springer spaniel is a memory rug from one of the girls who had lost her spaniel.

The fish is upside down since we tilted the frame for a picture and the 1847 turkey has always been a favorite of mine. Some day I will hook it.

I

We have had so much rain, think if this had been snow we would have had about 30 inches. Maybe that would be a little to much snow at one time, but it would certainly have been pretty.
I had spent the week end with Valerie here at my house, while her folks went to
Branson. Valerie and I made her a pilgrim
costume for school. My goodness Thanksgiving will be here before we know it. Thinking about lots of good food and giving thanks for the freedoms we have in this country.

Home from Ruth Lodge

Someday I will get the pictures where I want them, but in the mean time just enjoy them.

Love this purse.

Debbie's leaf rug is coming along and going to be lovely.

Yes we truly were at Rug Camp, but we had so much fun, Bev and Debbie danced a little for us.
Sharon the rabbit queen shared her rabbit named breeze with us.

We ate way to much food. We had some great meals. Wonderful salads and cakes. We even had mashed potato's and gravy one night. We had biscuits and gravy at breakfast one morning.

Rabbit Queen even had her own ears.
And a ball hat with lights so she could read in the evening. From the laughter coming from that room no one was sleeping much.

We even had a lesson in Tai Chai, Joan I don't even know how to spell it let alone do it.
